Forest Fringe Farm is located at Behr Road, Trail 17, Bethel, NY 12720—approximately 2–2.5 hours from NYC depending on traffic.
Driving from NYC
Route:
- Take I-87 North (New York State Thruway) or Route 17 West
- Follow Route 17 to Exit 104 (Bethel/White Lake)
- Take Route 17B West toward Bethel
- Turn onto Jim Stephenson Road, then Behr Road
Parking:
- Loose-gravel driveway approximately 1,000 feet from Jim Stephenson Road on your right (or on your left if approaching from Route 17B)
- Pull into driveway and veer right (avoid ditch on left side)
- Park single-file behind other vehicles
- 3–5 minute walk from parking to main campsite/farm area
Important:
- Watch speed limits on Route 17B (speed traps common as you approach Bethel)
- Gravel driveway can be muddy in spring—AWD/4WD recommended during wet seasons
- Lock your car and keep keys accessible

- Uber/Lyft: ~20 minutes, $30–$50 depending on availability

Alternative bus stations:
- Port Jervis (slightly further with fewer direct routes from NYC)
- Liberty (small station, limited rideshare availability)
Carpooling & Group Transportation
For groups traveling together:
- Coordinate carpools in advance to reduce vehicle count
- Parking space is limited to ~10–12 vehicles comfortably
- Large groups should plan for shared transportation or shuttle coordination
- We can help coordinate shuttle logistics as an add-on service

Upon arrival:
- Park in designated area (single-file behind existing vehicles)
- Unload gear at parking area
- Walk 3–5 minutes to main campsite
- Check in with on-site coordinator (if applicable to your booking tier)
- Set up camp and settle in
What to bring:
- All camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, etc.)
- Food and cooking supplies
- Personal items and toiletries
- Insect repellent and weather-appropriate clothing
- Flashlights/headlamps (minimal site lighting)
Departure Logistics
Standard departure window:
- Weekend bookings: Sunday 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- Multi-day bookings: Final day, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Single-day bookings: 5:00 PM departure
Before leaving:
- Pack out all personal gear and trash (or arrange trash removal add-on service)
- Return any rented equipment to designated area
- Complete site walk-through
- Check out with coordinator
