This is rural, working land. Not manicured or paved.




Ground Conditions, Accessibility, What to Bring, Respecting the Land


Uneven surfaces with roots, fallen logs, and natural debris. Muddy paths after rain or during spring snowmelt. Soft, saturated ground in low-lying areas. Seasonal water flow creating temporary wet zones. Three meadows and some areas prone to seasonal flooding. Sloped areas requiring careful footing.



Forest Fringe Farm is not ADA accessible. No paved or graveled paths. Visitors should be comfortable navigating muddy conditions, uneven ground, natural obstacles, and slopes. Groups with specific accessibility needs should contact us during the inquiry phase.



Waterproof boots (essential year-round). Rain gear and weather-appropriate layers. Flashlight or headlamp for evening. Long pants for meadow and forest movement. A willingness to adapt. Conditions change with weather and season.



Stay on paths where they exist. Avoid walking through planted or marked areas. Do not disturb wildlife habitats. Move gently. Land is actively regenerating.

Spring (April–May)

Wet, muddy, saturated ground. Cool temps. Expect rain gear. Beautiful and demanding.

Summer (June–August)

Peak season. Best weather. Bugs. Bring repellent. Hot days, minimal shade in meadows.

Fall (September–October)

Cooler temps, fewer bugs. Foliage, harvest season. Earlier sunsets.

Winter (November–March)

Limited bookings. Snow, mud, freezing temps. Infrastructure winterized.
