Events

we love to show people a good time

In collaboration with our sibling projection Activation Residency we host events that bring people together around fresh food and the arts. Our farm events are designed to encourage connection, expansion, and relaxation. We have been hosting artist residencies since 2018 and began Forest Fringe Farm in 2024.

Why events?

Our goal is to carve out space in the forest where rapture is possible. In doing so we aim to build ecological relationships, provide fresh food, and expose the magic of intimate gathering.

In hosting events we value rigorous warmth, celebration, and the freedom to self express.

We are intentional about how we curate our events. Before deciding to attend an event, review our guidelines to ensure our farm is the right fit for you.

Why do I have to apply to attend an event?

We approach gathering from a safety first perspective. Applications give us insight on access needs and each person's compatibility with the space.

What do we do with garbage?

Recycling is single-stream meaning all glass, plastic, metal and paper can go together. Recycling bins are clearly marked and placed by the farm fields and near the cabin.

Compost is any organic matter besides meat. There is a compost pile near the hunting tower and near the farm fields.

Garbage is whatever is left over from recycling and compost. Meat can either be chucked into the woods or placed in the garbage. Garbage bins are clearly marked and placed by the farm fields and near the cabin.

Is all the water on the property drinkable?

Not all of it. We collect rainwater for showering and washing dishes. Potable water is clearly marked.

Can we make a bonfire?

By all means! There is a communal fire pit on the property with burnable wood nearby. Please only use the wood adjacent to the pits. Any other wood is our personal, indoor winter wood. We ask for a $20 firewood donation as it costs us time and money to chop, split and stack the wood. Please leave the cash in the cabin before you leave.

Please don't make huge fires as it is hazardous and wasteful. Don't leave your fire unattended and please make sure it has died down and is spread out when you do leave it.

Whose land are you on?

We are on Mohican land.
